Introducing Kabir
Meet Kabir, our little bundle of joy. He arrived on a cold sunny morning in February and is now a delightful 5 month old. I'm loving being a mum, it's like seeing the world in a completely new way. I'm easing back into work slowly and will be doing the first show of the year with Art in Action from July 18-21, demonstrating & exhibiting my map quilts, scarves & cushions in bold joyful colours.
Hope to see you there!

Art In Action 2012
Art in Action 2012- I exhibited and demonstrated my textiles at this lovely show at Waterperry House, Oxford.
All kitted out in my wellies for the show. The grounds were sodden, but everyone remained undeterred and in high spirits. Almost felt like being at a music festival.
So on day 1, I was kitted out in my wellies.
I invited people to tag the place they travelled from to Art in Action on the British Map quilt. What a wonderful variety of visitors- we had someone all the way from Orkney Islands, from Glasgow, from York, North Wales, Dorset. FAB!
The Textiles Tent
The organisers put a wonderful show of music and dance performances together for the exhibiting artists. It felt so special!
There was Flamenco, performed by Spanish artists for us
All exhibiting artists were treated to a lovely sit-down dinner by the organisers. Here are my fellow Textile artists.
There were food stalls serving all sorts of yumminess and 400 artists demonstrating everything from glass blowing to painting
My London Map Quilt displayed in the 'Best of the Best' section

A big thanks to the organisers, the volunteers, exhibitors and visitors!

I would like to invite you to Art in Action, where I would be demonstrating map quilts & exhibiting handwoven cashmere and silk scarves in bold joyful colours from 19-22 July at the Textiles Tent.
“Inspired by the simple principle that people are fascinated when artists and craftsmen openly demonstrate their skills and discuss their work, Art in Action was born 35 years ago. Today Art in Action welcomes approximately 25,000 people over four days. Visitors come to learn, buy and enjoy the exhibitions, classes and performances of 400 demonstrating artists, designer makers, teachers, musicians and performers.”
